This course of study provides a roadmap for operating your IBM Power Systems computing environment. Focus areas include optimization of a single hardware system as well as a consolidation of multiple operating environments onto a single hardware platform (i, AIX, Linux, Windows). Education will involve details involving the overall management lifecycle including monitoring, performance, availability, change and security.

Additionally, this course of study will present sessions related to IBM PowerVM-based virtualization technologies, basic system management, hardware management console (HMC), work management, change management, and problem/fix management tasks to keep your IBM i environment running smoothly. Other focuses include e-output solutions and enterprise-wide management of printing and printed output from i, along with various products and methods available for connecting to i. Configuration and administration of your i security environment are also included in this course of study.
