Session Abstract:
Beginning in IBM i 7.1, point / modification releases are being replaced by something called a "Technology Refresh."  The first IBM i Technology Refresh is now available.  This session will share information on what a Technology Refresh is, what it means for customers, some early experiences and reactions, suggestions for best practices, plans for the future, and practical examples walking through the process and screens related to loading, applying, displaying, etc. a Technology Refresh.  There will also be ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand and explain what an IBM i Technology Refresh is and why it is important for customers

 

2. Be able to order and install an IBM i Technology Refresh

Audience:
Anyone interested in or affected by release upgrades or PTFs.
