Session Abstract:
Attendees will be able to gain a thorough understanding of what Continuous Data Protection is and how it is utilized for disaster recovery, as well as of the value and benefits this technology can add to traditional data backup and recovery solutions. Best practices to follow when implementing and maintaining a CDP solution in a data center will also be discussed.

 

During the presentation, a demonstration will be given using one of the CDP/DR products available, Vision Solutions’ Double-Take Availability and RecoverNow (formerly known as Vision EchoStream), which will depict how CDP technology can be leveraged for recovering from logical (data corruption), physical and rolling disasters.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

 

  1. Describe the concepts, benefits, and tradeoffs of the continuous data protection technology

  2. Recommend a CDP solution for particular business resiliency needs.

  3. Identify and design best practices to follow for a CDP disaster recovery solution
