Session Abstract:
During a hands-on lab, the presenter will utilize Vision Solutions' Double-Take Availability for AIX product to demonstrate how a business can recover from data corruptions (logical disasters) and physical disasters in an AIX environment, while maintaining service level agreements and regulatory compliance requirements.

During the lab, attendees will be able to walk through the process of introducing data corruption on one server, which will then instantaneously get replicated to the disaster recovery server, after which attendees will be able to reverse the corruption by utilizing CDP. Attendees will also simulate a site failure, and recover the business service at the DR site.

Learning Objectives:

  2. Describe the features and benefits of the product

  3. Identify tradeoffs of the CDP technology and the demonstrated product.
