Educational Goals: Learn the many different facets of i5/OS Integrated File System (IFS) and how to manage, secure, and work with the information stored in the IFS. Understand how i5/OS NetServer, Network File System, QNTC, and QFileSvr.400 fit into the IFS structure. Learn how to System i Navigator tools to work with the IFS.

Business Objectives: The i5/OS Integrated File System (IFS) is a powerful repository for many different types of data -- this ranges from database information to PC data to UNIX. This focused education roadmap will give the attendee a good understanding of the structure of the IFS, and information that can be stored there, but also how to secure the data making only selected parts of it available to selected users.
